The Blood of Dawnwalker will get a Performance Mode targeting 60 frames per second on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X at launch through a day-one patch, Rebel Wolves confirmed. The announcement follows backlash after the studio showed gameplay running only at 30 FPS (Quality) and 40 FPS (Balanced) modes.
According to the developer, the 60 FPS mode was already in the works but still undergoing testing when the gameplay footage was revealed, which is why it was not initially disclosed. "We heard your feedback. It was clear how much this mattered to many of you, so we focused on finishing the next round of tests," the studio wrote in a statement.
The game launches September 3, 2026. Adding the Performance Mode via day-one patch means console players will have feature parity with the PC version regarding performance options, removing the need to play the title only at more conservative frame rates.
