Konami announced a free demo for Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launching on October 1st. The demo will contain the opening chapter of the game and allow players to carry their progress over to the full version, provided they purchase the game on the same platform where they played the demo.
The full game arrives October 15th this year, developed by Evil Empire (the studio behind Dead Cells support and The Rogue Prince of Persia) in partnership with Konami. The demo will include restricted features and content, and the full game must be updated to the latest version for save data transfer to work properly.
According to GamesRadar, performance varies by platform: the demo will run at 60fps on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, while the base Nintendo Switch version will run at 30fps. Konami notes that players should purchase the game on the same platform where they tested the demo to ensure progress transfers correctly.
