Gears of War: E-Day hit by DDoS attacks; The Coalition monitoring servers

Gears of War: E-Day experienced connectivity issues stemming from DDoS attacks directed at its online services. According to Eurogamer, players encountered intermittent disconnections and trouble logging into the platform.

The Coalition, the game's developer, confirmed the incident via the official Gears community account on X (Twitter). "These issues were due to distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks targeting our online services," the studio stated.

The development team said it is monitoring and mitigating the attackers' activity. "Our teams are continuing to monitor and mitigate this activity. We'll provide updates if there are any significant changes," The Coalition declared, thanking players for their patience.

Gears of War: E-Day is available on Xbox Series X and S as well as PC, including through Game Pass. The game recently transitioned from early access into full official availability.
