Gears of War: E-Day confirmed as Xbox exclusive; PC requirements revealed

It's official: Gears of War: E-Day is an Xbox exclusive — which means it's skipping PlayStation. During the Xbox Games Showcase, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma stated that "it's only fitting that as we return to Xbox, we return to Gears." Unlike Halo: Campaign Evolved, which launches simultaneously on PS5, the new third-person shooter stays within Microsoft's ecosystem and PC.

The game also received its PC technical requirements. According to released specifications, the minimum recommended graphics card is an RTX 2060. Storage stands out as the main demand: 130 GB on SSD will be needed to install the title. Recommended specs call for 16 GB of RAM and GPUs such as RTX 3060 or RX 6700 XT.

The requirements are considered modest for an Unreal Engine 5 title, maintaining an accessible approach without demanding cutting-edge hardware. The exclusivity marks a sharp contrast to Halo's simultaneous multi-platform release, which is climbing pre-order charts on the PS Store.
