Arc System Works and Sony announced Phoenix Cyclops as the first DLC character for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls during San Diego Comic-Con. The character is voiced by Ray Chase, who also portrays Cyclops in Disney+'s X-Men '97 series and the hero shooter Marvel Rivals.
According to the PlayStation Blog, Phoenix Cyclops draws inspiration from his Phoenix Five incarnation featured in Avengers vs. X-Men. The character harnesses the Phoenix Force to deliver what the developer describes as "devastating Optic Blasts, relentless close-range pressure, and the cosmic flames of the Phoenix Force."
The fighter is scheduled to arrive fall 2026 as the first of four planned DLC characters and one additional stage coming during the game's first year. The reveal took place during the MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Behind the Battle panel at the convention. The full game launches August 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
