Pokémon Pokopia's Bubbly Basin DLC launches August 5

Pokémon Pokopia's first DLC expansion, Bubbly Basin, releases on August 5 for Nintendo Switch 2. The Pokémon Company confirmed the date through an official seven-minute trailer showcasing the expansion's content and mechanics.

A free 2.0.0 update will roll out the same day, granting all players the new Dive ability. This allows your Ditto avatar to create an air bubble and breathe underwater, finally enabling extended exploration beneath the waves. Manaphy, the Mythical water-type Pokémon, arrives with the patch and unlocks access to the underwater-themed region.

Bubbly Basin focuses on building and decorating underwater spaces. New Pokémon including Totodile, Popplio, Mudkip, Corsola, and Corphish inhabit fresh habitats in the area. Players will also craft a Sharpedo Submarine, gather watermelon crops for smoothie recipes, and use Surf to reach undiscovered locations.

The expansion pass has three planned components: Part 1 (Bubbly Basin, launching August 5), Part 2 with accessories (releasing before year's end), and a third new town coming in 2027. All content is included in the previously announced expansion pass.
