Atlus unveiled a story trailer for Persona 4 Revival at Gamescom 2026, according to Siliconera. The roughly two-minute video follows the game's main narrative, with the Investigation Team working to uncover who is throwing people into the Midnight Channel, a supernatural dimension tied to urban legend.

The trailer combines gameplay segments, story scenes, and animated sequences. It shows protagonist Yu Narukami arriving in Inaba and engaging in everyday activities like joining a band, playing basketball, and spending time with his cousin Nanako. The video then introduces a series of murders in the town and the possibility of a serial killer using the Midnight Channel as a killing method.

According to Push Square, Revival keeps the original narrative unchanged without story adjustments. However, PCGamesN reported that the remake edits portions that "weren't as clear" while preserving the cast's "core identities," addressing more problematic elements from the original.

The game follows the Persona 3: Reload approach, featuring updated graphics, new combat mechanics, and original anime cutscenes. Revival is scheduled to launch in 2027 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
