Fangtopia will launch on PS5 on October 26, according to the PlayStation Blog. The cozy puzzle game tasks players with building their own kingdom filled with quirky monsters and ghouls, placed piece by piece on a hexagonal grid surrounding a spooky castle of their choice.
The gameplay revolves around six types of tiles: fields, towns, mountains, forests, railroads, and rivers (available only in Ghoulish mode). Players score points by connecting tile edges to matching terrain types, with the goal of climbing leaderboards and perfecting their domain. While there's no time pressure, a tile limit means strategic placement matters. Taking your time to consider each move is encouraged.
The October 26 release timing coincides with the Halloween season, fitting the game's spooky-yet-cute aesthetic. Fangtopia marks another entry in the relaxing puzzle-building genre on PlayStation 5.
