Todd Howard, head of Bethesda Game Studios, confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the majority of the studio's developers are currently working on The Elder Scrolls VI. He emphasized the project's importance: "We know we need to get it right and it's been a long time."
The title was announced more than eight years ago during Microsoft's conference. Since then, only one video has been released, focused solely on the game's name reveal. The lengthy wait has fueled fan speculation about development progress.
During the same interview, Howard also commented on Marvel's Blade, developed by Arkane Lyon. According to him, he recently viewed a development version and praised the team's work: "The folks at Arkane are doing a really, really great job." However, he did not provide dates for new announcements or updates on either project.
The confirmation comes at a sensitive time for Xbox, amid internal pressure to accelerate major game releases. The Elder Scrolls VI is one of Microsoft's most anticipated titles and marks an exclusive launch for Xbox and PC platforms. The statement reinforces Bethesda's commitment to the large-scale project.
