GTA Online blocks casino for Australian players

Players of GTA Online in Australia have reported losing access to the game's gambling mechanics. According to IGN, features including blackjack, slots, poker, roulette, and the Inside Track horse racing mode are now disabled. The Lucky Wheel, which does not require casino chips, has also been blocked. Players see a "this feature is not available for you" message when attempting to use these minigames.

These features had been active in Australia since the Diamond Casino launched in July 2019. As reported by dataminer Tex2 via PC Gamer, Rockstar added Australia to a territory-based restriction list in the game's code for these specific resources.

The block arrives months after Australia implemented a new online safety code in March 2026, requiring companies to introduce age verification barriers. Although GTA Online already carries an R18+ rating in the country and casino chips use in-game currency rather than real money, the move reflects Rockstar's stricter approach to Australian regulation. Other casino functionality, such as missions and heists, remain playable.
