Lords of the Fallen 2 will not arrive in 2026. CI Games confirmed that the action RPG soulslike is now targeted for Q1 2027, clearing the increasingly crowded second half of 2026, particularly October and November, when Grand Theft Auto 6 launches (November 19).
According to CEO Marek Tyminski, the decision came from internal feedback with the Gameplay Feedback Team, a group of veteran soulslike players. "Their valuable ongoing input, combined with the team's vision, has identified meaningful opportunities to further refine and strengthen the overall experience," Tyminski said in a statement. The extra time will allow for "additional integration, iteration, and polishing" before launch.
The title, originally planned for fall 2026, now avoids a period when dozens of major releases compete for players' attention, a common strategy when studios want to sidestep direct competition with heavyweight titles. Lords of the Fallen 2 will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
