GTA 6 PC release rumored for Q1 2027, much sooner than expected

According to anonymous industry sources cited by GamesBeat, Rockstar Games is planning to bring Grand Theft Auto 6 to PC in the first quarter of 2027. If accurate, this would represent a significant departure from Rockstar's usual approach, as the studio typically waits considerably longer before releasing PC versions.

Rockstar has not officially commented on the claim, and the studio has yet to publicly confirm that Grand Theft Auto 6 will even come to PC at all.

Historically, Grand Theft Auto PC ports arrive well after their console launches. Grand Theft Auto 5 took 18 months to reach PC following its PS3 and Xbox 360 debut, while Red Dead Redemption 2 waited 11 months between its console and PC releases. Earlier entries like GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas saw gaps of seven to eight months.

The rumor contradicts recent industry predictions that expected a much longer wait. Any official confirmation from Rockstar regarding a PC launch window for Grand Theft Auto 6 has not yet been announced.
