Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown DLC arrives October 15

Confirmed during this week's State of Play, Charting the Unknown will be Crimson Desert's first paid DLC expansion, as announced by developer Pearl Abyss. The content launches October 15 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

The DLC introduces a new region and campaign that continues the base game's story, following Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane through fresh challenges. According to coverage, players explore the ocean floor wearing diving suits, pilot ships in naval combat, and experience underwater sequences such as riding sharks. The expansion also features castle building and decoration with room construction tools, plus village creation around the fortress.

Pearl Abyss recommends players complete the main campaign before accessing Charting the Unknown, as the expansion's story takes place after the base game's finale. Pre-orders are expected to launch soon, according to the developer.
