Silent Hill: Townfall, developed by Screen Burn, launches September 25 on PS5. It marks the first full-length game in the series presented from a first-person perspective, allowing players complete immersion in its unsettling world.
According to the PlayStation Blog, the perspective shift makes audio a crucial element of gameplay. The title integrates PS5-specific features, including 3D audio that convincingly recreates nearby sounds to heighten tension and unease.
Protagonist Simon arrives on the shores of St. Amelia with a single objective: to "put things right." A device called the CRTV replaces the series' iconic radio and allows players to scout roaming monsters, serving as a key survival tool.
Screen Burn has optimized the experience to leverage PS5's technical capabilities, marking the franchise's return to market after years away.
