Director of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 acknowledges next studio game may not appeal to everyone

Guillaume Broche, director of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, discussed in an interview with IGN Brasil the possibility that Sandfall Digital's next release might not appeal to all players. According to him, this is a healthy situation to face in the industry: not every game succeeds with everyone.

Although he did not reveal details about the project in development, Broche acknowledged that the team is open to taking creative risks. For the director, this kind of approach is essential for innovation, even if it means alienating some players.

In another moment of the conversation, Broche also commented on his personal evolution with the open world genre. He stated that he did not appreciate open worlds until 2017, when he believes a game finally truly fulfilled the genre's promise, in an apparent reference to a title that impressed him during that period.
