Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is set to release on March 4, 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. According to the official PlayStation Blog announcement, a free playable alpha demo launched today and will remain available through September 30.
The demo opens access to the Changban battlefield, where players can join Liu Bei's forces in combat against Cao Cao's army, encounter demons drawn from Chinese mythology, and test an in-progress character creator. Online multiplayer supports up to three players. Koei Tecmo confirmed that completing the demo unlocks the Fledgling Phoenix Helmet cosmetic for the full game. The title will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from day one.
Wo Long 2 carries forward the series' signature deflection-heavy combat system, where nearly every enemy attack can be parried, alongside momentum-based stamina and the morale mechanic that rewards exploration. Team Ninja built the sequel drawing lessons from Nioh, Ninja Gaiden, and Dead or Alive.
