Echo Weaver is now live on Xbox Series X|S and PC, launching day one with Game Pass. The game is a knowledge-focused metroidvania developed by a small team from northwest North America and published by Akupara Games.
According to Xbox Wire, the title caught the attention of Buddy Solá, Head of Publishing at Akupara Games, during its demo phase. Solá called Echo Weaver "the best demo I've ever played in my career in indies," underscoring the project's significance.
The game challenges metroidvania conventions by placing knowledge as a core mechanic, an approach the creators faced challenges implementing. The launch marks another day one addition to Game Pass, reinforcing Microsoft's strategy to expand the service's catalog.
