Bill Skarsgård confirmed as Physint's lead actor

Hideo Kojima confirmed at Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 that Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role in Physint, an action-espionage game in development at Kojima Productions. The announcement came days after PlayStation stepped away from the project, with Xbox taking over as publisher.

Skarsgård, known for roles in It, John Wick 4, and Nosferatu, joins the previously announced cast including Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe. Kojima Productions also released an official poster featuring Skarsgård and Fraser alongside the game's tagline: "The Next Cold War Begins."

Kojima described Physint as the culmination of over 40 years of his career, a project intended to blur the line between games and film by bringing talent from both industries. While still years away from release, Kojima stated the game is making steady progress, with performance capture and other production work continuing on schedule.
