Leak suggests Final Fantasy VII Revelation will include a story expansion pass

A leak in the Epic Games Store database discovered by the EpicDB tracking site suggests that Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final game in Square Enix's ambitious remake trilogy, could receive paid additional content beyond its main launch. According to reports from GameSpot, IGN, and GamesRadar, the listings reference a "Story Expansion Pass" and up to nine DLCs for the title.

The game is scheduled to launch in early 2027 and promises to conclude the story that began with Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020). However, as GameSpot notes, the franchise has precedent for extensions: the animated film Advent Children and the spin-off game Dirge of Cerberus took place after the original game's events, leaving room for new narratives in the expanded universe.

Square Enix has not officially confirmed any DLC plans for Revelation. As GamesRadar cautions, the Epic Games Store database listings could be placeholders, cosmetic items, or subject to change. The company has remained silent on the matter.
