A hacker known as 'C Isn't Sharp?' has been appearing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer lobbies on PS4 and PS5, corrupting other players' accounts in various ways. According to GamesRadar, the attacker has already compromised accounts belonging to streamers like TimTheTatMan, making unauthorized changes to their profiles.
Activision recently ported the first two Black Ops games to PlayStation, but left the original games' vulnerable infrastructure essentially unchanged. This allowed exploits dating back over 15 years to remain functional, creating an opening for this type of attack.
In TimTheTatMan's case, the hacker pushed his account to Level 55 and Prestige 16, a Prestige rank that does not actually exist in the game. The breach underscores the lack of updated security in these console ports, leaving accounts exposed while Activision investigates the issue.
