Hyper Games, a Norway-based indie studio, officially announced via the PlayStation Blog that Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is coming to PlayStation 5 on September 18. It marks the studio's second game in the Moomin franchise, following Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley.
In the game, Moomintroll wakes from winter hibernation while the rest of his family remains asleep. As a "reluctant hero," he sets out to bring spring back to the valley in order to wake his family and reunite with his best friend, Snufkin, in Moominvalley.
Moomin was created by Finnish author Tove Jansson, whose first story was published in 1945. The series has seen numerous adaptations over the decades, including animations and, now, video games that explore the cozy world of these beloved characters.
