Helldivers 2 is now available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers worldwide, as announced on the PlayStation Blog. The game's addition to the service coincides with the launch of its major Devoid of Liberty update.
Devoid of Liberty brings players to the Void, a new region controlled by the Illuminate. The update includes two new mutant enemies with devastating attacks and revamped SEAF troops better equipped to support Helldivers in the field. The new units feature squad leaders, riflemen, heavy weapon specialists, and medics that can now perform interactions such as salutes, handshakes, and hugs with players.
The game also received a level cap increase from 150 to 300, along with 15 new rank titles. According to Eurogamer, Helldivers 2 had already reached 20 million copies sold since its 2024 launch, and its entry into PS Plus should bring a wave of fresh recruits.
PlayStation also confirmed that Helldivers 2 joins August's PS Plus Extra catalog alongside Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Vampire Survivors, and other titles.
