Rockstar Games confirmed Thursday that Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders will begin on June 25 through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and select retailers. The studio also revealed the game's official cover art in a promotional video.
The announcement comes roughly five months ahead of the scheduled November 19, 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not yet disclosed pricing or confirmed which special editions will be available at pre-order.
Simultaneously, Rockstar updated the game's official website with fresh imagery, including a nighttime scene in Vice City featuring boats, shipping containers, and helicopters—a preview of the locations players will explore.
The announcement moved markets: Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, saw its stock rise on confirmation of the pre-order date. Barring any significant delays over the coming months, GTA 6 remains on track for its late-year launch.
