Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is now free for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from September 24 through September 30 as part of Nintendo's Game Trial program. The metroidvania platformer developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and released in January 2024 offers full access to the complete game during this window, excluding separately purchased DLC content.
Ubisoft is pairing the free trial with promotional pricing, offering a 70% discount on both the Nintendo eShop and Steam, with the PC deal running through October 1. This coordinated push aims to drive engagement with the title and give interested players a risk-free opportunity to experience the full game before deciding on purchase.
The timing follows Ubisoft's broader strategy to attract new players to established titles through Nintendo's Game Trial service and cross-platform sales events.
