Palworld 1.1 won't be a massive update, studio clarifies

Pocketpair asked Palworld players for suggestions about the game's future right after the 1.0 launch in July, but quickly found itself overwhelmed with ambitious ideas. John Buckley, the studio's publishing and communications head, posted on X that he "shot himself in the foot," receiving over 1,700 comments with proposals like "add a new continent" and "add 20 more levels".

In response, Buckley clarified that the team is "not planning to spend a year making a massive update" for version 1.1. According to GamesRadar, the studio remains open to ideas but expects to work on more modest changes for this update.

Palworld launched in early access over two years ago and left early access in July this year. The game maintains strong concurrent player numbers on Steam, though below the initial post-launch peak. Pocketpair continues developing future content but prefers to set realistic expectations about the scope of upcoming versions.
