Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has been updated today with version 1.005, introducing enhanced visuals for PS5 Pro through PSSR support, a new Power Saver mode to reduce energy consumption, and two new character costumes.
One of the new designs is the Fresh Start suit, inspired by this week's Spider-Man: Brand New Day film, offering a fresh take on the classic Spider-Man look. The second suit comes from Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, featuring a sci-fi aesthetic with cel-shaded styling and white accents.
According to Push Square, the patch marks the game's support for the new Spider-Man movie's release. The Power Saver mode, which Sony first introduced last year for select PS5 titles, lets players scale back graphics performance in exchange for reduced console power usage.
The new suits can be unlocked in-game through methods not yet detailed by the developers. The update is available for download immediately across all copies of Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5.
