Wuchang sequel confirmed with original director

Confirmed: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is getting a sequel. Publisher 505 Games announced that the game will be developed by Indolphinity (Chengdu Recursive Dolphin Technology Co.), a studio founded by Xia Siyuan, the creative director of the original Wuchang.

Siyuan left Leenzee after disputes with the original project's financiers in 2026, taking key collaborators with him. The studio subsequently dissolved, leaving the franchise's future uncertain.

In April 2026, Digital Bros (parent company of 505 Games) acquired the Wuchang intellectual property rights for approximately $4.6 million. According to 505 Games, "the story is far from over" for the series. The original game launched in July 2025 and reached over five million players across all platforms, despite receiving mixed critical reviews.

No release date has been announced for the sequel.
