Rayman Legends Retold has been delayed by two months. The platformer remake from Ubisoft, originally scheduled for October 1st, will now launch on December 3rd, 2026, according to an official announcement from developer Ubisoft Montpellier.
The delay is unusual because it occurs after the game reached "gold" status, when development is technically complete and ready for manufacturing. According to Ubisoft, the team decided to use the additional time to "make sure every detail gets the care it deserves".
The date shift moves Rayman Legends Retold away from an exceptionally crowded release window in October, avoiding direct competition with titles like Gears of War, Call of Duty, and Grand Theft Auto 6. The studio also plans to release a new trailer on September 22nd to provide more details about the project.
Rayman Legends Retold is a 3D reimagining of the 2013 classic, bringing Ubisoft's mascot to current platforms in a modernized form.
