Mario Kart World gets two new Knockout Tour routes in latest update

Nintendo has released an update for Mario Kart World that expands the Knockout Tour mode with two additional racing routes. According to Nintendo's official support site, Drill Rally takes players from Wario Shipyard to Bowser's Castle, while Boomerang Rally stretches from Salty Salty Speedway to Whistlestop Summit.

Beyond the new routes, version 1.7.0 also introduces fresh stickers for Photo Mode customization and delivers balance adjustments affecting select characters. The official Nintendo support channel noted that additional language options, including Thai, have been added to the game.

The update represents meaningful progress for Mario Kart World's content roadmap, as the Switch 2 launch title had received limited substantial additions since release. Game menus indicate that six more routes are in development for future patches, suggesting the title will continue receiving new content in the coming months.
