Crimson Desert Reaches 6 Million Copies Sold in Under Three Months

Crimson Desert has surpassed 6 million copies sold since its March 2026 launch, according to an announcement from developer Pearl Abyss. The open-world action RPG achieved this milestone in under three months — starting with 2 million sales on day one and reaching 5 million within the first month.

The achievement marks a historic record for single-player titles produced in South Korea. Per Adrenaline, Crimson Desert is now the best-selling South Korean game of its kind ever released. Pearl Abyss thanked the community across social media, noting that players' "adventures and tales continue to make the journey of Crimson Desert even more special."

Beyond sales performance, the game has remained in the spotlight thanks to active developer support. According to Push Square, Pearl Abyss has been rolling out weekly updates to improve the experience and expand content. IGN highlighted that recent patches have significantly expanded the game's pet systems, including challenges that allow players to register up to 100 pets — consolidating what the outlet describes as the title's transformation into a genuine pet simulator.
