A significant Steam leak exposed achievement lists for hundreds of games in development, according to multiple gaming outlets. The achievement-tracking platform Exophase accidentally published the files following what appears to be an error from Valve, as confirmed by the site's owner.
Among the affected titles are Persona 6 and Kingdom Hearts 4, both containing sensitive information. In the case of Persona 6, an Atlus game with no announced release window, the achievements reveal plot points. Kingdom Hearts 4, scheduled for 2027 by Square Enix, had Disney franchise worlds revealed prematurely, including corroboration of rumors speculated by the community.
The leak also affected titles such as Fable, Gears of War: E-Day, Deus Ex Remastered, Ace Combat 8, Stranger Than Heaven, Thief: The Dark Project Remastered, Silent Hill: Townfall, Control Resonant, and over 70 other games. Some of these titles have not even been officially announced, raising questions about the scope of the error.
According to the Exophase owner, the incident occurred because achievements were uploaded to Steam and remained accessible through the public API before being marked as private. The achievement tracker automatically scanned the newly available files, making them public on the platform.
