Karolina Stachyra has returned to CD Projekt Red to work on The Witcher 4. According to Push Square, she was a key writer on The Witcher 3, authoring the renowned Bloody Baron questline that became a standout fan favourite in 2015.
Stachyra departed CD Projekt Red after the 2016 release of the Blood and Wine expansion. Over the past decade, she served as narrative lead at Techland on Dying Light 2 and later at GSC Gameworld on STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Her return signals CD Projekt Red's strategy of bringing veteran franchise talent into The Witcher 4's development. The game had its first teaser revealed in 2024 and remains in production with no confirmed release date.
