Aniimo, a creature collection game developed by Pawprint Studio, officially launched today worldwide. According to Xbox Wire, the game brings players to Idyll, a vibrant world filled with adorable creatures called Aniimo, with over 200 species available at launch.
New Aniimo were added before the global release. These include Squarrel and its evolution Squashel, a squirrel-like creature that rolls down hillsides while gripping its tail and attacks using fast-paced combo mechanics.
The game is free-to-play and does not operate on a gacha model, according to PC Gamer. The release rolled out at staggered times across regions. In the US West Coast, players could access it at 7 pm PDT on September 15, while East Coast players got in at 10 pm EDT the same day. UK and European players received access on September 16 at 3 am BST and 4 pm CEST respectively.
Aniimo's development incorporated feedback from players who participated in beta tests ahead of the global launch, as stated by Pawprint Studio in the official announcement.
