TennoCon 2026, the annual fan event held in London, Ontario, brought significant news for Warframe. According to coverage from Polygon and IGN, Digital Extremes revealed that Banshee, one of the game's oldest playable Warframes, will finally receive a complete ability kit rework.
Beyond the Banshee rework, the developer confirmed new details about the Tau expansion, which will introduce a new solar system to explore filled with new threats and antagonists. The expansion represents the next major narrative chapter for the game.
The event also provided updates about Soulframe, the fantasy MMO that Digital Extremes is developing in parallel. According to PCGamesN, the demo presented was described as the darkest version of Soulframe to date, featuring a new fable questline, new weapons, darkside powers, new player mounts, and a fishing mini-game.
Warframe, launched in 2013, continues to receive substantial story and content updates, keeping the game competitive in the sci-fi live-service space.
