Crazy Taxi: World Tour opens closed network test in September

Sega confirmed a closed network test for Crazy Taxi: World Tour, the new entry in the classic arcade franchise. According to GameSpot, the multiplayer test will run from September 11-13 and will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Interested players must sign up on the official Crazy Taxi website by August 31 to participate. Polygon notes that the test will let selected players experience two online multiplayer modes ahead of the official launch, scheduled for 2027.

Alongside the announcement, Sega unveiled a new trailer showcasing the West Coast map, one of the playable locations. As reported by Adrenaline, the game will also feature real-world brands returning to the Crazy Taxi universe, a franchise staple.

Sega stated that certain platforms may have limited participant capacity, per GameSpot's coverage. This marks the first official opportunity for the public to test the title's multiplayer experience before its 2027 release.
