Doom: The Dark Ages will receive support for upgraded PSSR on PS5 Pro through Update 4, launching for free on July 7 alongside the Revelations DLC, according to the PlayStation Blog. The advanced version of PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), which rolled out on the PS5 Pro earlier this year, aims to deliver the cleanest possible image on the platform for the medieval Hell experience powered by id Tech 8.
The improved upscaling is particularly relevant for Doom: The Dark Ages given the game's fast-paced action and the need to maintain sharp visual detail during gameplay. The update will allow PS5 Pro players to experience sharper armor edges and environmental details with greater clarity without compromising performance.
