Tomb Raider Catalyst delayed to 2028

Tomb Raider Catalyst has been pushed to 2028, Amazon Games chief Jeffrey Gattis revealed during an interview with The Game Business. The Crystal Dynamics-developed title was originally announced for 2027 but will now launch the following year.

The delay spreads out the franchise's release schedule. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagining of the original game, arrives February 12, 2027 after its own postponement (it was initially planned for 2026). With Catalyst now scheduled for 2028, the two titles will have breathing room between launches.

Both games were announced at the same time during The Game Awards 2024, marking the return of the Tomb Raider franchise under Amazon Games' stewardship. Beyond these projects, Gattis indicated the company is developing other triple-A titles at various stages of production.
