Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will continue a trend that has frustrated PlayStation fans for years: the game will launch without a platinum trophy on PS5. According to Push Square, the reason is that the new Call of Duty will be integrated into the Call of Duty HQ launcher when it arrives later this month, functioning technically as DLC rather than a standalone application.
Because it is classified as additional content, Modern Warfare 4 will not receive a full trophy list on Sony's platform. This restriction affects players who aim to complete their platinum collections, an important achievement metric in the PlayStation community.
The game releases October 23rd on PC, PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. Xbox Wire confirmed that pre-orders come with the Shattered Relay weapon blueprint in Call of Duty: Mobile as an exclusive bonus.
