Xbox announced a partnership with pizzeria Prince St. Pizza to celebrate the launch of Gears of War: E-Day. According to Xbox Wire, the collaboration features the Emergence Pie, a limited-edition pizza available at Prince St. Pizza locations across the U.S. and Toronto through November 1. The pie combines spicy vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, ground pepperoni and sausage, finished with Carbone Fine Food's Aglio e Peperoncino Italian Chili Crisp.
Microsoft and the pizzeria also created a Prototype Lancer pizza cutter, a themed take on the franchise's iconic weapon. Per GameSpot, the tool costs $60 and is made of heavy metal with a stainless steel blade. The cutter sold out, though it was available for pre-order.
Both collaborative items come with in-game rewards. Pizza buyers unlock an exclusive pizza emblem in Gears of War: E-Day, while the cutter also includes exclusive game items.
Gears of War: E-Day launches October 6 for Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Xbox), with early access for pre-order buyers. It is the franchise's first mainline game in seven years and serves as a prequel to the original Gears of War, focusing on initial encounters with the Locust Horde.
