Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 specs revealed across PS5, Xbox, and Switch

Konami has revealed the technical specifications for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, arriving August 27th. The two flagship titles, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, will run at different settings depending on the platform.

On PS5, Metal Gear Solid 4 will output at 4K, 60 fps, while Peace Walker matches those specs. Xbox Series X gets both games at 4K, 60 fps. For Xbox Series S, Metal Gear Solid 4 runs at 1440p, 60 fps.

Switch 2 will see both titles at 60 fps in both TV and handheld modes. The original Switch is capped at 30 fps for each game. Per coverage from gaming outlets, these are closer to ports than full remasters, though they do feature meaningful visual upgrades, particularly in Peace Walker.

This marks the first time Metal Gear Solid 4 will be available on Xbox consoles, expanding access to what was previously a PlayStation exclusive.
