Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Definitive Edition announced for Switch 2 in February

Koei Tecmo announced a Definitive Edition of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity exclusively for Switch 2, arriving on 27 February 2027, as revealed during the September 2026 Nintendo Direct.

The new version will feature performance improvements, increased enemy count on screen, and include all content from the original game's expansion pass. A new Calamity Mode will provide heightened difficulty for veterans seeking a greater challenge.

The title is a spin-off and prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, blending the Musou action style of Dynasty Warriors with the Zelda universe. The physical edition will release in Game-Key Card format.
