Metroid Ravenous Seemingly Leaked by Brazilian Ratings Board

A new Metroid title may be in development. According to reports from Polygon, IGN, and Nintendo Life, a classification document published by Brazil's Ministry of Justice and Public Security referenced a game titled Metroid Ravenous, listing 2026 as its production year. The document was reportedly removed afterward, but gamers captured screenshots before deletion.

The document listed an age rating of not recommended for children under 12 years old. While the report does not confirm technical details or specific platform information, the 2026 production year aligns with expected Switch 2 launch timing.

The leak occurred in early July and spread rapidly across forums and social media. VGC editor-in-chief Andy Robinson claimed that additional Metroid projects may be in the pipeline.

The information remains unconfirmed by Nintendo. The studio has not made any official comment about Metroid Ravenous at this time.
