Control Resonant gets customizable Assist Mode at launch

Control Resonant launches September 24 with a customizable difficulty approach departing from traditional level selection. According to the PlayStation Blog, the new game introduces close-range melee combat built around Dylan's shapeshifting Aberrant weapon, demanding players to read enemy attacks, manage staggers and status effects, and time dodges carefully.

To address the new learning curve, the developer in Espoo and Stockholm opted for Assist Mode, a suite of customizable options rather than a handful of fixed difficulty levels. The system lets players adjust individual mechanics that might obstruct their progression without necessarily altering the entire experience.

The game arrives on PlayStation 5 and other platforms on the announced date, with the assistance framework integrated as a core accessibility feature.
