Final Fantasy VII Revelation will feature automatic level-up system for players who skip side quests

Final Fantasy VII Revelation will include an automatic level-up system for players who prefer to focus on the main campaign and skip side quests. Director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed the feature during an interview with IGN Japan at Tokyo Game Show, as reported by Push Square.

The system appears as an option at a "certain point in the game," allowing players who don't want to engage with all the side content to keep pace with the story without falling behind in levels. Hamaguchi stated the decision responds to player feedback from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

In recent interviews, Hamaguchi also confirmed that completing everything will take "easily over 100 hours," while the final chapter's install size reaches approximately 200 GB. Final Fantasy VII Revelation launches April 8, 2027 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch.
