In the video published by Epic, the company demonstrated how artists use AI prompts to refine hand-drawn sketches for Fortnite skins and other assets, as well as experiment with design variations. The reveal coincided with Epic's announcement of new generative AI features coming to Unreal Engine 6.
Poncle provided no further details about the review, but made clear that Epic's use of the technology is the reason for reconsidering the deal. The crossover would have been significant for both studios — Vampire Survivors is an indie phenomenon, while Fortnite is gaming's largest crossover platform.
