Final Fantasy XIV gets Final Fantasy VII Remake-themed raid series

Final Fantasy XIV will receive a new raid series themed around Final Fantasy VII Remake. Announced at the Berlin Fan Fest, Beyond The Lifestream will be an eight-player raid series featuring three tiers, with the first one launching in patch 8.01.

According to GamesRadar, the series will include three difficulty levels: Normal, Savage, and a new difficulty tier specifically designed for Evercold that bridges the gap between the standard two.

Naoki Hamaguchi, director of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, appeared on stage to reveal additional details about the crossover. The project benefits from story supervision by Kazushige Nojima, the original Final Fantasy VII writer, and involvement from Tetsuya Nomura, the series' iconic character designer, ensuring authenticity to the source material.

The announcement was part of the Berlin Fan Fest celebrations, which also showcased new content coming to the MMORPG with its next expansion, Evercold, set to launch next year.
