Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will receive an unprecedented game mode for the series called Collateral, inspired by Counter-Strike mechanics. According to Eurogamer, the addition is part of the competitive arsenal Infinity Ward is bringing at launch.
Activision has also confirmed the return of Shipment, one of the franchise's most divisive maps. The tiny setting packed with shipping containers debuted in 2007's Modern Warfare 4 and is notorious for frequent spawn kills and extremely chaotic action, making it beloved by some players and despised by others.
On the technical front, Infinity Ward revealed PC specifications for minimum, recommended, and ray tracing configurations, along with a benchmark tool to help players find optimal settings. The game launches on October 23. The studio also confirmed that DMZ mode returns next month with updates in the works.
