Final Fantasy VII Revelation will take over 100 hours for completionists, director confirms

Naoki Hamaguchi, director of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, confirmed in interview that a memorable segment from the original Final Fantasy 7 will return in the remake. According to IGN, Hamaguchi revealed that completionists will need "easily over a hundred hours" to finish the game and experience all available content in the trilogy's conclusion.

The director also addressed other details about the title. According to GamesRadar, Hamaguchi assured that Cloud remains the main character, despite his reduced presence in marketing materials so far. The developer explained that this approach allows the rest of the cast to shine more, addressing fan desires to "see more of the other characters."n

Hamaguchi also commented on the game's mini-games. Per GamesRadar, the Moogles from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth return in Revelation, this time pursuing stardom as a pop idol group, evolving the remake's lineup of side activities.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is scheduled to launch on April 8, 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
