Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies gets VR remake for 2027

Capcom has confirmed a new Ace Attorney game: a virtual reality remake of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies. The title will launch in 2027 for Meta Quest 2, 3, Pro, and Meta's new VR glasses, developed by Amata Games under Capcom's license.

According to Siliconera, this will be the first Phoenix Wright game in VR. The adaptation appears to preserve the original structure, with initial images showing the "Turnabout Countdown" case that opens that installment. Amata Games noted that players will be able to shout "Objection" or use hand gestures to react and perform actions during cases.

Amata Games has previously worked on VR projects including The Tale of Onogoro and Last Labyrinth. The announcement arrives as Phoenix Wright celebrates his 25th anniversary next month, and Professor Layton is also returning in a new game soon, suggesting more franchise announcements are in preparation.
