Pearl Abyss has announced a delay for Charting the Unknown, the first major DLC expansion for the open-world RPG Crimson Desert. The content, originally scheduled for October 15, will now release on October 29.
According to the publisher and developer, the two-week delay will allow the team to deliver "a more polished and stable gameplay experience." The decision underscores Pearl Abyss' commitment to quality, particularly as Crimson Desert has received ongoing updates since launch to meet player expectations.
Crimson Desert became one of 2026's biggest releases, selling over six million copies within its first three months. The game continues to receive post-launch support as Pearl Abyss expands its world.
